Our OB/GYN practice is seeking a full-time, qualified Medical Assistant who is passionate about women’s healthcare and supporting patients through every stage of life. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting, excellent communication skills, and a strong sense of professionalism. Experience with Athena EMR is a plus. We are dedicated to fostering a welcoming, efficient, and compassionate environment where patients feel respected, supported, and genuinely cared for.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Provide high-quality patient care by assisting physicians during medical procedures, examinations, and treatments. Ensure patient comfort and safety at all times.
Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks, including but not limited to, updating patient records in Athena EMR.
Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, report any abnormalities to the healthcare provider.
Medical Records: Maintain electronic medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in Procedures: Assist with minor medical procedures
Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians, and other medical staff, to ensure seamless patient care and a positive work environment.
Dependability: Demonstrate reliability and a strong commitment to upholding our tradition of excellent patient-centered care.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of medical office experience.
- Familiarity with Athena EMR is a plus.
- Exceptional professionalism and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- A desire to contribute to a patient-focused, caring environment.
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Dependable and punctual.
