Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your primary focus will be ensuring that all animals receive proper attention, care, and a safe environment.

Duties include:
Playrooms * Maintains control of large group of open play dogs in the playroom * Continuously on their feet showing the dogs attention and care * Behavioral issues are addressed proactively in a timely and effective manner. This NEVER includes the use of physical force or punishment of a dog. We have a zero-tolerance policy for the mistreatment of animals * Aware of the environment at all times and consistently attends to the special needs of dogs.
Cleaning Duties * Continually monitor the playroom to keep it free of messes by immediate and continual spot cleaning throughout the shift * Daily cleaning assignments which may include, but is not limited to vacuuming, mopping, taking out trash, as well as scrubbing of walls, floors, and beds * Cleaning procedures involve the proper use of chemicals to ensure a safe environment
Health and Care * Understand and follow, without exception, feeding and medication instructions * Watch the dogs for any unusual behaviors or symptoms and recognize what is out of character for any guest*
Qualifications: 18 years of age or older * Able to interact in a positive way with all sizes, types, and breeds of dogs * Able to lift 50 lbs * Able to stand for longs periods of time * Computer literate * Be a Team Player * Work with cleaning chemicals * Organized, hard working, self motivated, must have own transportation*
Part-Time to Full-Time * Must be available weekends and evenings * Working holidays is required*
Salary: $16.50-$17.50 /hour to start, plus tips. plus paid for baths and pet taxi
