Duties
- Prepare high-quality food items efficiently while adhering to safety and sanitation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, and food prep stations with precision
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick turnaround
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by answering questions, upselling menu items, and handling transactions with cash or card
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas through bussing, sanitation, and food handling practices
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately during shifts, balancing registers at the end of each shift
- Support team members by assisting with food prep, order assembly, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or working in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with an ability to upsell menu items confidently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Experience in cashiering or serving in a restaurant or café setting is a plus
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy hours while maintaining quality standards
