Coordinate the efforts of Plant maintenance activities to assure that machines and auxiliary equipment is operational. Work with outside vendors to ensure building related preventative maintenance functions are performed. Work closely with the Director of Operations and Operations Manager to coordinate machine downtime to perform routine preventative maintenance on thermoforming machines and facilities areas. Support production to ensure maintenance work orders & reports are completed. This job is to be performed in a safe and clean environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on thermoforming machines and facilities areas. Perform and complete P.M. (preventive maintenance) and Corrective work orders.
· Ensure that auxiliary equipment is operational i.e. chiller, compressor, sub-station, distribution panels and HVAC.
· Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities for auxiliary equipment with Maintenance Manager.
· Own and use all necessary hand tools required for maintenance activities.
· Ensure safety guarding is functional on all machinery and equipment.
· Work with Process Techs and shift supervisor to implement downtime schedule for preventative maintenance activities.
· Maintain a safe, clean work area at all times.
· Duties include but are not limited to the above.
Education and/or Experience
· Technical, college graduate or equivalent training. · Electricians or Refrigeration Tech License preferred. · Thermoforming experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with competing priorities.
- Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills are required.
· Have a thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical, electronics, PLC, electronic sensors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and machine functions.
· Be able to use machine shop equipment i.e. mill, grinders, welder, band saws.
· Have an in depth understanding of compressors, chillers, HVAC systems.
· Be able to read, write and understand schematics a plus.
· Be able to read and understand shop orders, various production documents and both oral and written job instructions.
· Accurately record and maintain records pertaining to production and facilities.
· Ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals.

Working Conditions
· Requires sitting, standing, and walking. · Shift hours are according to work requirements and/or plant demands. · Availability to work overtime and weekend, if necessary. Lifting over 75-pounds required with special assistance.
