Duties
- Assist customers in selecting the right auto parts and accessories by leveraging mechanical troubleshooting skills and automotive repair knowledge
- Manage inventory control through accurate stock management, order fulfillment, and parts management using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Provide detailed product information on vehicle systems, automotive diagnostics, and maintenance procedures to support customer decisions
- Negotiate sales terms with customers, ensuring a win-win outcome while maintaining dealership standards
- Handle cash transactions, cashiering duties, and cash handling with precision and integrity
- Maintain organized shelving and stocking of automotive parts while ensuring inventory accuracy through regular audits
- Communicate effectively with customers via phone etiquette, offering solutions for their automotive service needs in multiple languages if applicable
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or dealership environments preferred, especially within automotive parts management or auto repair shops
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy setting
- Knowledge of automotive systems, vehicle maintenance procedures, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with inventory management software such as CMMS or Microsoft Excel for tracking stock levels and order processing
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math to ensure accurate transactions and inventory control
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service while managing sales negotiations effectively
