Delivering the highest quality of wellness and fitness classes, along with personal training sessions while always ensuring guest comfort and safety. The Wellness Coach will create, organize, and lead the wellness sessions and will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the Fitness Studio and The Gym, including the fitness machines, equipment, and amenities. This role acts as an ambassador for well-being on board for guests and the Ladies and Gentlemen.

Creates and implements scheduled programming, delivers the highest quality of classes, sessions, seminars, and services to meet the physical abilities and interests of the guests. Classes may include but are not limited to Guided Meditation, Yoga, Pilates, Suspension training, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Weight Training, as well as private one-on-one personal training sessions and selected wellness experiences onboard and ashore
- Educates guests and Ladies and Gentlemen on the correct utilization of the machines and equipment, as well as promoting safe exercising and proper mechanics
- Ensures confidentiality and discretion are always maintained regarding guest information and activities
- Possess thorough knowledge and understanding of all fitness services and wellness trends as well as the Spa menu and retail that is offered on board to increase revenue and provide appropriate recommendations
- Partners with other departments on board to cross-promote and ensure classes and seminars do not compete with other revenue events
- Ensures all fitness equipment, machines and tools in Fitness Studio / The Gym are clean, organized and maintained in safe and good working condition
- Monitors the status of all fitness machines and equipment, as well as any safety hazards, unsafe practices, and immediately notify the supervisor if there is any maintenance or repair required
- Completes required reports and administration and follows standard operating procedures for all duties.
- Assists with Spa reception duties when required, including but not limited to guest check-in, inquiries, general reception duties and assisting with maintaining the Spa & Wellness facility
- Ensures adherence and compliance with all Public Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and all guidelines established by The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and public health standards. Maintains all required Fitness certification to remain current with required standards

Valid Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) and flag certification for the duration of the contract and appropriate to position
- A.C.E. (American Council on Exercise), AFAA (Athletics and Fitness Association of America), NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association), NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) or ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) certification required or international equivalent
- An internationally accredited Fitness Diploma Certification in Fitness classes, Yoga, Meditation and Personal Training or Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Physiology or Kinesiology. Personal training experience a must.
- Minimum three (3) year industry experience coaching, training or instructing preferably within a private studio, health club or luxury hotel facility
- Superior knowledge and experience in Spa and luxury hotels and / or luxury cruise industry preferred
- Strong, primary focus on the health and wellness industry, with the ability to recommend and confidently talk about guest requirements
- Current CPR certification and basic first aid certification required
- Possess refined customer service and public speaking skills. Energetic and strong motivational ability
- Physical Fitness; must be able to conduct several physical Fitness classes / sessions per day, everyday
- Sales experience; friendly and approachable
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The Lady or Gentleman must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- All Yacht Ladies and Gentlemen must be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills. Full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency including the lowering of lifeboats. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- All Yacht Ladies and Gentlemen must be able to communicate in the English language in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors and co-workers.
