Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer and Bather to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality grooming services. As a member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering exceptional customer service to pet owners.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Handle animals safely and compassionately during grooming sessions, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming.
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their questions or concerns.
- Assist in other animal care tasks as needed, and basic pet care duties.
Qualifications
- For experienced groomers we request 2 Years of grooming experience and be able to provide a portfolio.
- Bather no prior experience is required, as we will train the right candidate.
- Proven experience in animal handling and pet grooming is preferred.
- Background in veterinary assistance or as a veterinary technician is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds
- Knowledge of dog training techniques is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in animal care or working in a kennel environment is advantageous.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.
- Be able to pass a drug screening
- Have reliable transportation
- If you have children, you must have dependable care for them during work hours.
Pay Scale
- Pay starts at $15 hourly, along with tips and the ability to earn bonuses twice a month.
