Harter's Expert Disposal is a family owned, multi-generation, and growing company. We currently have an opportunity for a reliable and hardworking CDL Class A Semi Driver / Loader Operator to join our team. This is a dual-role position that includes operating a semi-truck for material transport and operating heavy equipment at our transfer station. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment. We seek drivers who are able to work in a fast-paced environment. Driver's are home every afternoon with very competitive compensation packages.
Job Summary:
Safely operates heavy-duty trucks and machinery to perform assigned duties.
Physical labor required/working outside in all weather conditions (rain, snow, hot, cold, etc)
Starting Pay- $25-$30 per hour based on experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle utilizing standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report); notes all issues on DVIR form for corrective review/repair.
Immediately reports any unsafe situations or service calls to Route Manager or Dispatch before attempting service.
Performs all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch, assisting other company drivers as directed.
Follows route assignments throughout the day and completes all documentation when checking-in at the end of the route.
Qualifications :
Commercial Drivers License A (CDL) with air-brake endorsement.
Must be 21+ years of age.
Eligible to legally work in the United States.
Acceptable driving record required.
