Job Description – Retail Associate (Part-Time)
Location: Jake’s Country Trading Post, Gordonville, PA
Jake’s Country Trading Post is looking for dependable and friendly team members to join our store. As a Retail Associate, you’ll help with all aspects of running the shop — from assisting customers and processing sales to stocking shelves and keeping things tidy. If you’re comfortable using computers, enjoy staying active, and like working with people, this could be a great fit for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Welcome and assist customers with purchases and questions
- Operate the POS system/cash register and handle transactions
- Use a computer for shipping, processing, and other store tasks (training provided)
- Stock and organize merchandise on the sales floor
- Lift and move heavier items as needed (we carry some large/heavy products)
- Help maintain a clean and safe store environment, including restrooms and common areas
- Pitch in on a variety of duties involved in running a small retail business
Schedule Details:
- OPEN | Part-Time Position: Requires working every other weekend. (16 hours per paycheck, bi-weekly).

- Willingness to take on a variety of tasks, from sales to stocking to cleaning
- Reliable and able to work required weekend shifts

Pay & Growth:
- Full-time employees often receive an initial raise after their first few months, once reliability and long-term commitment are shown. Additional raises are based on performance and responsibilities over time.
