We are seeking an experienced Fleet, Safety & Compliance Manager to lead and coordinate our fleet operations, regulatory compliance programs, safety initiatives, and commercial driver development efforts.
This is a senior leadership position responsible for ensuring that our vehicles, drivers, and operational systems meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Position Summary
The Fleet, Safety & Compliance Manager serves as the central leader for Black Tie’s fleet management, safety programs, driver compliance, and transportation regulatory administration. This individual will work closely with company leadership, operations, dispatch, maintenance personnel, and Chauffeurs to maintain operational excellence across all departments.
This role is ideal for a transportation professional with experience in motorcoach operations, school transportation, commercial fleet management, transit operations, trucking compliance, or transportation safety leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Management
- Manage vehicle registrations, licensing, inspections, and compliance requirements
- Coordinate CHP inspections and maintain fleet readiness
- Maintain vehicle maintenance records and compliance documentation
- Assist with vehicle acquisition, onboarding, branding, and selling
Safety & Driver Compliance
- Administer driver qualification and compliance programs
- Oversee DMV Pull Notice enrollment and monitoring
- Maintain commercial driver licensing and certification records
- Manage SPAB certification oversight and compliance
- Conduct safety reviews and accident follow-up investigations
- Coordinate ongoing safety training and professional development
- Ensure CHP, DOT, FMCSA, and regulatory readiness across all operations
Regulatory & Administrative Compliance
- Manage CHP terminal inspection readiness
- Maintain BIT, DOT, and transportation compliance records
- Coordinate insurance and workers’ compensation-related compliance matters
- Prepare for audits and regulatory reviews
- Maintain operational files and compliance documentation
- Develop and improve systems, processes, and reporting procedures
Qualifications/Preferred Experience
- 5+ years of transportation management, fleet management, safety, or compliance experience
- Experience with commercial transportation operations, motorcoach companies, school transportation, transit agencies, trucking fleets, or luxury transportation services
- Strong understanding of CHP, DOT, FMCSA, and commercial transportation regulations
- Experience managing driver qualification files and safety programs
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and fleet operations
- Experience leading teams and developing transportation professionals

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
