Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation by chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and preparing condiments.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food handling practices meet health regulations.
- Support cooks during busy service times by providing timely assistance with various kitchen tasks.
- Packing to-go orders and handing them to guests
- Taking care of simple dine-in needs (like refilling water or bringing food)
- Jumping in wherever needed to keep things running smoothly
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Experience in meal preparation within a kitchen or catering environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic culinary skills with an eagerness to learn more about cooking and food preparation processes.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities throughout the shift.
