JOB FUNCTION: To perform all kinds of machining using CNC and manual equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Loads tools and fixtures as required for the job.
- Runs the jobs as specified by work-order or supervisor.
- De-burrs and cleans parts if necessary, before/after machining.
- Inspects as trained or specified by work-order.
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: May be assigned to do tapping, c-sinking, machine setup or any other task as specified by a supervisor or management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of on-the-job training on all operating equipment as specified by supervisor.
- Training and testing on inspection equipment specified by supervisor or management.
- Attention and care required to prevent injury to self and others when performing tasks.
- Work may involve some heavy lifting and bending. Must wear personal protection equipment as specified in the employee handbook.
- Accident hazard can involve severe cuts and bruises. Exposed to moderate burns and exposed to flying objects, such as chips and scale.
