This open position services all of Gates Painting's HealthCare clients. The primary focus of this role is to assist with all phases of painting, drywall installation, patching, and surface preparation. Responsibilities include preparation, installation, cleaning, and finishing duties as needed and assigned. The role contributes to team efforts by accomplishing various labor tasks as needed or requested.
Duties include preparing surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning, and smoothing using sandpaper and pneumatic sanding tools. The position involves masking and protecting surrounding areas to ensure clean paint lines and prevent damage. It also includes installing, repairing, and finishing drywall, including taping, mudding, and sanding. Applicants should be comfortable performing patching and texturing on damaged walls and ceilings. Additional responsibilities include applying primer and paint coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, repairing minor surface damage, and correcting discrepancies before applying coatings. The role also involves general job site preparation, clean-up, and adherence to safety protocols.
This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently as part of a team, and a strong work ethic. Candidates should be capable of working independently with minimal supervision, while also being able to take direction and perform well under a supervisor. 5 years of professional painting experience is required for this position, drywall experience is also required for this position.
