Job Description:
-
Assists in the recovery of tissues such as bone, tendons, dura, skin, veins, pericardium, and heart valves for transplantation.
-
Transports equipment and supplies, and manages inventory of recovery supplies.
-
Ensures the recovery site meets the Standards of the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB).
-
Performs tissue recovery, preservation, and bioburden testing procedures according to departmental policies.
-
Stays current on existing policies and procedures related to tissue recovery.
-
Reports on time to designated areas when called to participate in tissue recovery.
-
Promotes and participates in a team approach with other staff members.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of operating room set-up, sterile technique, prepping, draping, and surgical instrumentation [Required]
