A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who works in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). RBTs play an important role in helping individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities to improve their behavior and learn new skills with ABA therapy.
At Positive Behavior Services, we are looking for professional RBTs that can assist children with autism in specific cases. Some common responsibilities in this role may include:
- Implementing Behavior Treatment Plans: RBTs are responsible for implementing behavior treatment plans created by a supervising BCBA. This may involve working with individuals to improve their social skills, communication, and other areas of behavior.
- Collecting Data: RBTs are responsible for collecting data on the progress of individuals receiving therapy. This data helps the supervising BCBA evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment plan and make any necessary adjustments.
- Providing Feedback: RBTs provide feedback to the supervising BCBA on the progress of individuals receiving therapy. This feedback helps the BCBA make informed decisions about the treatment plan and ensure that it meets the individual’s needs.
