Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaner Janitorial Worker to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Operate floor buffers and other specialized floor care machinery to maintain high standards of cleanliness and shine
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols and handling instructions to prevent accidents or contamination
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks using proper techniques to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed for cleaning or maintenance purposes
- Maintain detailed cleaning logs and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
- Assist with custodial responsibilities across various facilities including commercial buildings, industrial sites, or residential properties
- Support basic facilities maintenance tasks such as trash removal, window washing, and minor repairs when required
Experience
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques involving chemical agents and proper handling procedures
- Experience operating floor buffers and performing floor care including buffing and polishing
- Knowledge of safe lifting practices and manual handling procedures for heavy objects
- Background in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is highly desirable
- Previous porter or maintenance experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
