The Shift Lead is responsible for supporting restaurant operations, leading team members during assigned shifts, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience. This role assumes responsibility for restaurant operations in the absence of management staff.
Maintain proper dress standards, including wearing a name tag and approved uniform at all times.
Present a professional appearance and positive attitude.
Maintain reliable attendance and follow company call-in procedures when absent.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and service issues.
Ensure accurate cash handling and compliance with all payment procedures.
Treat all team members with courtesy, respect, and professionalism.
Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and overall operational standards.
Follow and enforce food safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations.
Assist with employee scheduling and support operational needs as required.
Lead, motivate, and direct team members while promoting teamwork and accountability.
Communicate effectively in English regarding safety, policies, job responsibilities, and guest service.
Oversee restaurant operations and personnel in the absence of management staff.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, and read for extended periods (8+ hours).
Ability to regularly lift and move boxes, supplies, and materials weighing 25 pounds or more.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment with limited movement space.
Ability to maintain sanitation and food safety requirements.
Ability to safely use, mix, and store cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials.
