Job Title: Hotel Maintenance Technician
Job Overview:
As a Hotel Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our hotel safe, clean, and operating smoothly to enhance our guests’ experience. This role involves a variety of maintenance tasks, from simple repairs to anticipating future needs, ensuring that all areas of the hotel remain in top condition. We’re looking for a skilled problem-solver with a passion for keeping things in excellent working order.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be able to work morning, afternoons, and evening shifts during weekdays and weekends as needed.
- Perform repairs and maintenance throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and outside spaces such as the parking lot.
- Refurbish and replace items as needed to maintain a clean, attractive, and functional environment.
- Maintain and organize supplies, ensuring tools and equipment are ready for daily use.
- Follow the preventative maintenance schedule, addressing issues proactively to avoid interruptions in service.
- Respond to maintenance requests and issues promptly to meet high guest standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols, reporting any unsafe conditions, incidents, or malfunctioning equipment to your supervisor immediately.
- Keep your supervisor or duty manager informed about low stock or needed supplies.
- Assist guests with inquiries, demonstrating a friendly and helpful attitude at all times.
- Take on additional responsibilities as required to support the team.
- Always wear the proper uniform and maintain a professional, approachable appearance.
- Must be able to work evenings
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in maintenance, repair, or a similar role.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of building systems, plumbing, electrical work, and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Physical Fitness: Able to stand for long periods, lift and carry supplies, and perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, kneeling, and reaching.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
