The Nurse Practitioner (APRN) initiates the provision of medical care in the emergency services area in the absence of a physician and collaborates with other professionals and hospital departments to meet the needs of patients. The care given by the APRN is guided by the medical staff delineation of privileges and hospital credentialing processes, hospital policies and procedures, applicable laws and standards, and the scope of the APRN's license.
Supervisor Relationship:
l. The Physician on call.

Designated Responsible Physician in the absence of the Responsible Physician.
Education and Experience:

APRN - Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.

APRN - Licensed with the Kansas State Board of Nursing

A college graduate of an AMA/AAPA approved Physician Assistance program.

NCCPA certified Physician Assistant.

Licensed Physician Assistant with the Kansas State Board of Healing.
