Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate or Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing tax compliance and reporting for our clients, ensuring adherence to all relevant tax laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, in-depth understanding of debits and credits, and a solid understanding of financial concepts. This will enable them to provide insightful recommendations to clients while contributing to the overall success of our firm.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts and estates
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for tax savings.
- Collaborate with clients and coworkers to gather necessary documentation and provide guidance on tax-related matters.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Utilize accounting software such as Workpapers CS, Lacerte, and QuickBooks for efficient tax preparation.
Qualifications
- CPA or EA certification required.
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in public accounting or a similar role with a focus on taxation.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles related to taxation.
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles, including how debits and credits impact financial statements
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to break down complex financial data and develop practical solutions.
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and report writing.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Job Type: Full-time and/or Part-time for the right candidate
Pay: $40 - $60 per hour
