Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of painting and carpentry tasks across diverse construction projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on construction projects, including remodeling, restoration, and new building initiatives. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance structural integrity, and deliver exceptional results that meet client specifications and project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute building plans and carpentry layouts.
- Perform interior and exterior painting using various techniques and materials, including construction painting, stucco, caulking, and finishing coats.
- Construct, install, and repair building components such as doors, windows, cabinets, trim, framing, and drywall.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, assemble, and install materials like wood, drywall, concrete forms, masonry units, and glass.
- Install flooring, tile laying, roofing components, hardscape features, and perform masonry work as needed.
- Conduct construction inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards throughout all phases of work.
- Collaborate with team members on site to interpret blueprints or schematics for complex projects involving electrical experience or plumbing integration.
- Assist with heavy equipment operation when required for material handling or site preparation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in carpentry or painting on commercial or residential sites.
- Familiarity with building material installation including window installation, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, stucco application, and concrete finishing.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, scaffolding setup, and heavy equipment operation.
- Knowledge of interpreting technical drawings such as schematics or blueprints for various construction tasks.
- Experience working outdoors in different weather conditions on construction projects.
- Understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites including OSHA standards.
- Additional skills in construction estimating or project management are a plus but not required.
