Overview

Duties
- Greet patients warmly and provide outstanding customer service to create a welcoming environment
- Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits, and private plans, ensuring proper documentation review
- Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, handling inquiries and appointment confirmations
- Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized patient files in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate with clinical staff for patient intake, care plans, and clinic flow to optimize daily operations
Skills
- Proven experience in dental office or medical administrative support with strong clinic experience
- Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and health information management
- Excellent computer skills including typing (10 key typing), data entry, and managing multi-line phone systems
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality protocols
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and clerical experience in a fast-paced office setting
