Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development, physical activity, and social skills etc
- Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain a positive, respectful environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Collaborate with colleagues on instructional design, academic interventions, and implementing Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) for diverse learners.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective conflict management and behavior management strategies while fostering a nurturing atmosphere.
- Maintain compliance with educational regulations and safety standards while documenting student progress through detailed reports and records.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, Montessori methods, literacy education, and physical education for young children.
- Communicate regularly with families about their child's development using writing skills that clearly convey progress and areas for growth.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education best practices, and preschool curriculum development.
- Ability to design instructional activities that incorporate educational technology and innovative learning strategies.
- Skilled in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and conflict resolution among young learners.
- Familiarity with special education practices, including working with students who have disabilities or require academic interventions.
- Expertise in analyzing student performance data to evaluate progress and inform instructional adjustments effectively.
- Knowledge of educational compliance standards and regulations relevant to early childhood settings.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, families, and support staff to enhance student outcomes.
- Experience working in private or preschool environments with toddlers or infants; Montessori or toddler care experience is a plus.
