KinderCare teachers create safe, nurturing, and engaging environments for children, typically ages 6 weeks to 12 years, by delivering the Early Foundations® curriculum. Responsibilities include developing classroom lesson plans, fostering social and cognitive development, ensuring safety, and maintaining positive relationships with families.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Curriculum Implementation: Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Safety & Supervision: Maintain a clean, safe, and secure classroom environment, following all health and safety procedures, including diapering and hygiene routines.
- Family Engagement: Build relationships with families, including regular communication and progress reporting.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive, nurturing, and structured atmosphere that encourages exploration and learning.
- Professionalism: Participate in training, collaborate with team members, and support center goals for accreditation.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Passionate about Children: A genuine love for working with children and fostering their development.
- Experience: Previous experience in early childhood education or childcare is often preferred, but many roles offer training for entry-level applicants.
- Background Check: Must pass state and national background checks.
- Certifications: Depending on local requirements, CPR and First Aid certifications may be required.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with children, parents, and staff.
