Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
- Manage medication inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage in accordance with pharmaceutical regulatory compliance.
- Perform data entry into pharmacy software systems, maintaining precise patient records while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, processing prescriptions, and supporting medication pick-up or delivery.
- Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, medical terminology standards, and drug regulation policies during all pharmacy operations.
- Support hospital or community pharmacy functions such as intake procedures, drug regulation compliance, and maintaining accurate documentation for audits.
Requirements
- Prior pharmacy technician experience in LTC pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or community settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations.
- Experience with pharmacy software systems and data entry processes is essential for efficient workflow management.
- Strong understanding of state healthcare regulations, drug regulation policies, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
