Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Asphalt Laborers and operators to join our civil infrastructure team. In this role, you will be an essential part of highway maintenance, paving, and construction projects, ensuring the smooth operation of asphalt-related tasks. Your energetic approach and attention to safety will help us deliver high-quality results on construction projects. This position offers a dynamic work environment where manual labor meets heavy equipment operation, contributing directly to community infrastructure improvements.
Duties
- Assist with asphalt paving, grading, and surface preparation to ensure quality standards are met.
- Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, front loader trucks, and dump trucks to support construction activities.
- Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, shoveling, and material placement to facilitate project progress.
- Locate utilities accurately on job sites to prevent damage during excavation or paving operations.
- Maintain safety protocols in accordance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and company policies.
- Support heavy equipment maintenance by performing routine mechanical checks and minor repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with team members on construction projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction environments with knowledge of asphalt paving and highway maintenance.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and front loader trucks confidently and safely.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery operation and maintenance.
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks throughout the workday.
- Familiarity with utility locating procedures and safety regulations on civil infrastructure projects.
- Prior experience working on construction sites involving asphalt or roadway projects is highly preferred.
- Valid certifications for heavy equipment operation (e.g., Caterpillar machinery) are a plus.
