Position Summary:

The Health Occupations Instructor-Coordinator provides instruction, leadership, and oversight for Continuing Education programming related to healthcare. At least 40 hours per week are to be spent in the following: direct instruction; preparation and evaluation of instruction; clinical preparation; supply assessment and ordering, accessibility to students; committee assignments; addressing student concerns; advising and service to the college and community. responsible for instruction in the Health Occupations program area, specifically for NAI, NAII, Phlebotomy, and Pharmacy Technician. Must be willing to become certified in Phlebotomy within 18 months of hire and Pharmacy Technician within 12 months of hire.

Required Education/Experience:

Must be a registered nurse with an unencumbered license.
Must be licensed to practice in North Carolina
Must have at least two (2) years (2000 hours) of experience as a registered nurse in the United States.
Must meet at least one of the following:
- Completion of a course in teaching adults,
- Experience in teaching adults, or
- Experience in supervising nurse aides.

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

BSN from an accredited university.

Computer skills including Outlook, Teams, Zoom, Word and Excel platforms
Selecting activities, events, and/or programs; Analyzing processes and identifying improvements
Monitoring and evaluating programs; Applying applicable standards, laws, rules, and regulations
Preparing and maintaining records and reports
Prioritizing and assigning work
Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with subordinates, coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction.
