I am seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal. Duties
- Assist me with case management, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence related to family law matters such as divorce, child custody, and support cases
- Organize and maintain case files using document management systems like Clio, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times
- Prepare other procedural documents in accordance with family law requirements
- Manage court filings, deadlines, and scheduling to ensure timely submission of documents and court appearances
- Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and client communication to enhance overall office efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience as a paralegal with a focus on family law or related legal fields such as estate planning or civil litigation support
- Strong understanding of procedural law specific to family law cases including divorce, child custody, visitation rights, and spousal support
- Proficiency in legal case management software such as Clio
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently under tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions
- Knowledge of legal drafting standards, proofreading practices, and document review procedures
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for document preparation and data entry
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times
