Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to company standards while maintaining high quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate food service customer order management and retail sales transactions.
- Handle cash register operations including processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, upselling menu items to enhance sales, and addressing customer inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Maintain a clean workspace by following sanitation protocols, food safety guidelines, and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including slicing machines, ovens, refrigerators, and other food industry tools.
- Support team members during busy periods by managing time effectively to ensure quick service times while upholding quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous Subway experience in closing restaurant is required
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing and order management.
- Strong skills in food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety management to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and work well within a team setting.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing register operations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform physical tasks required in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Prior experience with café or restaurant operations is a plus but not required; training will be provided for all new team members.
