On behalf of Lakeview Terrace Cooperative, Kirkpatrick Management Company is seeking a maintenance professional with experience in the upkeep and maintenance of apartment and residential homes.
The maintenance technician assists with all aspects of the property's maintenance. This includes the physical physical grounds, custodial, preventive, corrective, deferred and emergency, and general maintenance.
Technical Skills
- Equipment Maintenance -Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed or as instructed by the maintenance supervisor
- Equipment Selection -Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
- Installation -Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
- Operation Monitoring -Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Repairing -Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
- Troubleshooting -Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.

Job Responsibilities Assist in minor interior and exterior building maintenance including caulking, painting, drywall patching and repairs Minor plumbing/electric work in common areas
- HVAC experience
- Assist with snow removal/clearing sidewalks
- General grounds cleanup and maintenance including trash and recycling upkeep
- Assist in common area maintenance
- Provide on call coverage as needed/arranged
- Occasional evening, weekend or holiday hours for emergency building maintenance calls
- Advise supervisor on overall condition of property
- Perform scheduled property maintenance
- Monitor appearance and upkeep of property on a continual basis. As appropriate, remove litter and debris from lawns, planting beds, parking areas, sidewalks, ramps and indoor spaces
- Experience in appliance repair
Ideal candidates will have the following qualities: Warm, friendly, service-oriented personality HVAC, EPA certified

- Excellent time management, communication and customer service skills
- Reliable transportation
- Heavy work- exerting in excess of 50 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Ability to climb ladders and work on his/her feet for several hours at a time
- 2-3 years of experience
