Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting fine jewelry items that meet their preferences and needs
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations and explain the unique features of each piece to enhance customer understanding and interest
- Manage retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, including cash handling and cash drawer balancing
- Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain well-organized merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to attract customer attention
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries professionally via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment, product demos, and stock organization to ensure the sales floor remains appealing and fully stocked
- Help With Daily Store setup and Takedown
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales, preferably within luxury or jewelry environments, with supervising experience considered a plus
- Strong knowledge of retail store product knowledge, jewelry features, and merchandising techniques
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash register operations, cash handling, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a valued asset for serving diverse clientele
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for sales totals, discounts, and change making
- Demonstrated phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally over the phone or in person
- Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and retail store merchandising strategies
- Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team
