Job Description
Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, and building pump systems. Troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration systems, including high and low voltage electrical issues. Proficient in diagnosing refrigeration cycles and electrical systems safely. Install HVAC and refrigeration equipment per industry standards and local codes. Ensure systems operate efficiently, safely, and meet code requirements. Perform quality inspections of own and others’ work during system start-ups. Possess required hand tools and test equipment. Maintain company vehicle according to policy and manufacturer guidelines. Respond to emergency service calls during and outside normal hours. Transport tools, equipment, and supplies as needed for job completion.
Responsibilities

Essential Skills
-
5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial HVAC service.

EPA Certification.

Proficient in measuring and identifying different voltages.

Deep understanding of the refrigeration cycle, including superheat/subcooling, TXV operation and adjustment, solenoids, superheat valves, receivers, and accumulators.

Ability to measure and interpret gas pressures.

Proficient in diagnosing sensors, thermistors, and control devices.

Experience with VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives): programming, troubleshooting, and error code resolution.

Understanding of cooling tower, chiller, and boiler loops and their temperature requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Proficient in using ohm meter, amperage meter, refrigerant gauges, vacuum gauge, battery drills, pipe wrenches, and basic hand tools.

Work Environment
Candidates will be working on customer sites, performing service work both outdoors and indoors. The standard working hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. However, service technicians will eventually be on call 24/7 (Monthly rotation).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
