Our client, an electrical wholesale distributor, is looking to hire a Wire Cutter for their location in Katy, TX. The Wire Cutter is responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, labeling, and staging electrical wire and cable according to customer orders. Previous wire-cutting and forklift experience are required for this position.
The Day-to-Day:
- Read and interpret pick tickets, order specifications, and cut labels.
- Measure and cut wire to specified lengths using manual or automated cutting machines.
- Label completed wire with the correct part number, length, and order information.
- Inspect wire for defects, damage, and inconsistencies before staging.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy standards, including cuts per hour.
- Operate wire-cutting machines, reels, and material-handling equipment safely.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous professional wire-cutting experience required.
- Previous sit-down and reach forklift experience required.
- Ability to read pick tickets and follow detailed measurements.
- Basic math skills and the ability to work with precise lengths and quantities.

- Monday to Friday
- 1:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Pay: From $20.50 per hour
