Master Mechanic for Powersports and Watercraft
Join our Powersports team as a Master Mechanic specializing in powersports and watercraft! In this critical role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of recreational vehicles, including ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, boats, jeeps and jet skis. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will apply your extensive mechanical expertise and hands-on experience to ensure top-notch service and customer satisfaction. Your skills in automotive diagnostics, brake repair, welding, and heavy lifting will keep our service department running smoothly. Understanding and training of our rentals and tours, customer repairs, storage, parts sales, will be provided so all aspects of our services will be taught so you can excel in all aspects of what our company does. Own tools required for the position.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair all types of off-road recreational equipment UTV, ATV, Dirt Bikes, and watercraft from the ground up.
- Perform maintenance, brake repair, and assembly on various vehicles.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting rental and tour clients with equipment operation and paperwork.
- Train team members on equipment use and maintenance procedures.
- Order parts and prepare wreck estimates as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized commercial facility and equipment.
- Operate all recreational equipment proficiently.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven expertise as a master mechanic, ideally in a powersports dealership or service technician role, with a strong background in powersports and watercraft repair.
- Skills: Proficient in automotive diagnostics, brake repair, welding, and heavy lifting. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, learn quickly, and work efficiently.
- Personal Attributes: Punctual, friendly, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. Passionate about off-roading and water-based recreation.
- Requirements:
- Clean driving record with no more than 1-3 minor violations.
- Drug-free, tobacco-free, and alcohol-free.
- No criminal record.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage positively with customers in all situations.
Work Schedule
- Part Time: 1-3 days per week very flexable
- Operating Hours: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
Compensation
- Salary: $22 - $29 per hour DOE
