About the Role
GeniusLab is hiring dependable and enthusiastic tutors to work with elementary students in our Right-After-School Homework Program.
Tutors work with small groups of approximately four students immediately after school, helping them complete their homework, answer questions, reinforce classroom concepts, and build confidence in a supportive learning environment. Our goal is for students to leave with their homework completed so families can enjoy more quality time together in the evenings.
Tutors may be assigned to one or more elementary schools within the district based on program needs.
Responsibilities
- Help elementary students complete their daily homework
- Answer questions and reinforce math, reading, and other classroom concepts
- Encourage positive study habits and independent learning
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Supervise a small group of approximately four students
- Communicate professionally with school staff
- Arrive on time and prepared for each session
Qualifications
- Current college student or bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience working with children, tutoring, teaching, or mentoring is a plus
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, patient, and enthusiastic
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday
- Approximately one hour immediately after school
- Part-time
Pay
$30 per hour
