Staff Accountant / Accounts Receivable Lead
Location: Inglewood, CA (100% On-site)
Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 / year (Based on experience)
Experience Level: 5+ years of relevant experience
About the Opportunity
Lily Jack is a vertically integrated hospitality furniture manufacturer with operations in the United States and abroad, serving leading global brands. Our work integrates casegoods, upholstery, engineered stone surfaces, and advanced fabrication processes. We operate at the intersection of design, precision manufacturing, and supply chain excellence.
We are seeking an experienced, on-site Staff Accountant / Accounts Receivable Lead to join our growing team in Inglewood. Our business is scaling fast, and our projects are getting bigger. With larger, milestone-billed projects on the books—featuring intricate deposit schedules, progress payments, and balance-due invoicing—our financial ecosystem requires a dedicated owner.
Why This Role is On-Site in Inglewood
This isn't a role that can be managed from a distance or outsourced offshore. You will be the heartbeat of our daily financial operations. We need a local professional on the ground because:
- Real-Time Collaboration: You will work side-by-side with our Inglewood AP, operations, and warehouse teams daily to keep logistics and numbers aligned.
- U.S. Operations: You will need direct access to our U.S. banking systems for reconciliations and cash applications, alongside managing U.S./state-specific sales tax support.
- The "Art" of Collections: We believe collections is a relationship-driven art form. You will be speaking directly with our U.S. clients and purchasing agents during real-time business hours, protecting our revenue while maintaining excellent client relationships.
What You’ll Own
As our AR Lead, you will fully own the lifecycle of our incoming revenue and support the broader accounting function:
- Accounts Receivable: Manage complex, milestone-based billing (deposits, progress payments, and final invoicing).
- The Art of Collections: Proactively follow up on outstanding balances with diplomacy, tact, and a relationship-first mindset.
- Cash Application & Reconciliations: Accurately apply incoming cash and own the daily/monthly bank reconciliations.
- Month-End Close Support: Partner with the team to close the books faster and with sharper accuracy.
- Sales Tax Support: Oversee state-specific sales tax compliance and reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare basic financial and AR aging reports to give leadership clear visibility into cash flow.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated accounting experience, with a heavy emphasis on AR, complex billing structures, and collections.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication. You know how to ask for money firmly but graciously.
- Proximity & Presence: Ability to work on-site at our Inglewood office full-time (Monday – Friday).
- Sharp Eye for Detail: You spot reconciliation gaps quickly and love creating cleaner, faster financials.
- Systems Savvy: Comfortable navigating U.S. banking platforms, ERP/accounting software, and Excel.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary band of $80,000 – $100,000. Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
- A collaborative, high-energy environment right next to our operations and warehouse teams.
- The autonomy to truly own the AR function and make a visible impact on the company’s bottom line.
