We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Scale House Operator to join our team in Douglas, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately weighing trucks, recording weights, and managing related documentation to ensure smooth and efficient operations at our facility.
- Operate the scale house equipment to weigh incoming and outgoing trucks.
- Record and verify weights accurately in the system and on paper documentation.
- Communicate effectively with truck drivers, dispatchers, and other personnel.
- Maintain logs and reports related to truck weights and transactions.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
- Assist with general facility operations as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of scale equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating scale house equipment or similar machinery preferred.
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate weighing software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and may involve standing for extended periods. The Scale House Operator will interact regularly with truck drivers and other facility staff.
