Shop Technician
Location: Nixon, TX

Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Position Summary
Pumps Plus is seeking a dependable and motivated Shop Technician to join our team in Nixon, TX. This is a full-time, hands-on position supporting the repair, maintenance, assembly, and delivery of industrial pumps and related equipment for the oil and gas industry.
We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety. The ideal candidate is reliable, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the disassembly, inspection, repair, and assembly of industrial pumps and related equipment.
- Clean, inspect, and prepare equipment for repair and shipment.
- Load, unload, and move equipment using forklifts and other shop equipment.
- Operate company trucks and safely tow trailers for deliveries and equipment pickups.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory organization and general shop maintenance.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude required; previous shop or industrial experience is preferred.
- Experience driving a truck while towing a trailer is required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and participate in random drug testing.
- Must be able to safely lift and carry more than 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Forklift experience is a plus (training available if needed).
- Dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Some days may require earlier start times or later finish times based on business needs.
- Occasional weekend work may be required.
- Employees are subject to an on-call rotation during the busy season at the end of the year.
