Host / Hostess
Amara is looking for a warm, polished, and hospitality-driven Host/Hostess to join our front-of-house team. As the first and last impression of our restaurant, you’ll play a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience while ensuring our dining room runs smoothly.
Pay :
- $15.00 per hour.
- Plus a 2% tip-out from the restaurant’s overall pooled tips.
Responsibilities :
- Warmly welcome and seat guests with genuine hospitality.
- Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable.
- Answer phones and assist guests with reservation inquiries.
- Maintain an organized host stand and accurate seating chart.
- Coordinate table flow with managers and service staff.
- Assist with bussing and resetting tables as needed.
- Ensure guests receive attentive service from arrival through departure.
Qualifications :
- Previous hosting experience in a restaurant required.
- Experience using OpenTable preferred.
- Friendly, confident, and personable with a strong front-facing presence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
Shift Availability :
- Evening shifts.
- Weekend availability required (Friday-Saturday).
- Part-time and full-time opportunities available.
