Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and facilities across manufacturing and residential settings. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and ensuring operational efficiency. The Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in supporting production processes, ensuring safety standards, and maintaining the integrity of our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, facilities, and machinery
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage automated systems
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed for equipment repair or modification
- Assist with residential painting projects and general facilities maintenance when required
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance history
- Supervise or lead maintenance team members during shift operations or specific projects
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards during all maintenance activities
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
Skills
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters
- Mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery, manufacturing processes, and facilities maintenance
- Proficiency in welding techniques for repair and fabrication tasks
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and programming
- Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and manuals
- Residential painting skills are a plus for facility upkeep projects
- Supervising experience demonstrating leadership capabilities in a maintenance environment
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external contractors
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and collaborate with team members
