We are a licensed 10-bed, adult male Behavioral Health Residential Facility (BHRF) dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders (dual diagnosis). Our multidisciplinary team is committed to creating a safe, therapeutic environment that promotes recovery, stability, and long-term wellness.
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our behavioral health team. The RN is responsible for providing nursing assessments, medication management, health monitoring, coordination of medical care, and collaboration with the clinical treatment team to ensure high-quality care for residents.
Essential Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive nursing assessments upon admission and as needed.
- Administer and monitor prescribed medications in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
- Monitor residents for changes in physical and mental health status.
- Respond appropriately to medical and behavioral emergencies.
- Coordinate care with physicians, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
- Educate residents regarding medications, health conditions, wellness, and recovery.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and assist in developing individualized care plans.
- Ensure compliance with Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), licensing regulations, and facility policies.
- Supervise or collaborate with behavioral health staff regarding resident medical needs.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Minimum one year of nursing experience (behavioral health, psychiatric, addiction treatment, or residential care preferred).
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing mental illness and substance use disorders.
Preferred:
- Experience with dual diagnosis treatment.
- Experience working in residential behavioral health or substance use treatment settings.
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
