Description of Job:
SnapCare is seeking experienced Telemetry / Medical-Surgical Registered Nurses (RNs) for a night-shift travel assignment on the 3 West unit at Corpus Christi Medical Center – Doctors Regional. This unit provides care to a diverse population of medical, orthopedic, and neurosurgical telemetry patients. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, team-focused, and comfortable managing a full assignment in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Manage assignments of 4–6 patients while maintaining safe, high-quality care
- Perform cardiac monitoring and respond to changes in patient condition
- Deliver care to orthopedic and neurosurgical patient populations
- Perform standard nursing procedures including IV insertions, urinary catheter care, and central line maintenance
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Accurately document patient care in the Meditech EMR system
- Float to other Med-Surg and Telemetry units as needed
Qualifications:
- Active RN license (Texas or compact license accepted)
- Minimum of 2+ years of recent acute care Med-Surg/Telemetry experience (within the last year)
- Ability to safely manage 4–6 patients per shift
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of neurosurgery or orthopedic nursing experience
