American Traveler seeks an Outpatient Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and 1+ year of experience for a Neuro Rehabilitation setting.

Outpatient setting within a Neuro Rehabilitation environment

Adult outpatient patient population
-
1:1 patient ratio

Epic charting system preferred

Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
-
Current BLS certification
-
CCC-SLP certification required
-
LSVT certification preferred
-
Texas SLP license required (license required if applicable)

Prior outpatient experience required for first-time travelers
-
Experience with voice/resonance and acoustic analysis skills
-
Experience with adaptive equipment including alternative communication devices, augmentative communication, communication boards, and memory aids
-
Proficiency in assessment, evaluation, discharge planning, and plan of care documentation
-
Experience with Medicaid and Medicare B billing/documentation
-
Experience with evaluation tools such as Boston Aphasia Evaluation, CADL, CELF, Oral Peripheral Exam, and Western Aphasia Battery
-
Dysphagia management skills including bedside swallow evaluation, compensatory strategies, Frazier Free Water Protocol, hyolaryngeal exercises, oral motor techniques, and thermal stimulation

Experience interpreting Modified Barium Swallow Studies

Experience treating adult conditions including CVA, degenerative diseases, dysarthria, dysphagia, fluency disorders, TBI, and voice disorders
-
Knowledge of functional maintenance programs and patient/family education
-
Ability to recognize signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse
-
Provide comprehensive outpatient speech-language pathology services within a neuro rehabilitation program
-
Conduct evaluations, assessments, reassessments, and develop individualized plans of care
-
Perform dysphagia management including swallow evaluations and diet modification recommendations
-
Utilize augmentative and alternative communication devices to support patient communication needs
-
Educate patients and families on functional maintenance programs and home strategies
-
First-time travelers considered only with prior outpatient experience
-
Candidates must live outside a 110-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
-
RTO must be submitted with the candidate profile

Candidates must complete facility-administered drug screening upon arrival, which includes marijuana testing, and any positive result will result in automatic cancellation
