Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Deck Carpenter to join our construction team, specializing in building and installing durable, high-quality decks and outdoor structures. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling components with precision. Your expertise will contribute to creating beautiful, functional outdoor spaces that meet safety standards and client expectations. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate construction of decks and related structures
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install framing components using hand tools and power tools such as saws, drills, and nail guns
- Install Composite and PVC Decking, and aluminum railing
- Operate equipment and tools safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, materials, and debris regularly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on carpentry or deck building
- Strong knowledge of framing, decking, railing and trim carpentry techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialty deck installation tools
