Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. This vital role involves creating a warm, friendly atmosphere by greeting guests with enthusiasm, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Toast POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, handling inquiries and reservations
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Assist with guest inquiries regarding menu items, restaurant policies, or special requests
- Support the team by maintaining cleanliness in the host station and dining area, adhering to food safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine desire to create positive guest experiences
- Excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS is a plus
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including reservation management and guest relations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
- Organizational skills to manage waitlists and seating flow effectively
- Experience in food safety practices and hospitality standards is advantageous
