Duties
- Provide a wide range of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic and nail extension applications, and intricate nail art designs.
- Perform specialized treatments such as cuticle care, exfoliation, massage, and hydration to enhance overall nail health.
- Maintain strict adherence to salon safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable services, and upsell retail products like nail care essentials or skincare items.
- Stay current with industry trends by continuously updating skills in color theory, new techniques in gel application, and innovative nail art styles.
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently while providing excellent customer service that fosters client loyalty.
- Assist with retail sales by promoting products that support nail health and beauty routines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a Manicurist or Nail Technician within the beauty industry; certification in Cosmetology or related field required.
- Nail Technician or Cosmetology license or temp license
- Strong knowledge of sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and salon safety protocols.
- Skilled in various techniques including gel manicures, acrylic nail application, nail extensions, and body waxing is preferred.
- Familiarity with color theory for creating custom designs and coordinating colors effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse clients confidently and professionally.
- Ability to perform detailed work with precision while maintaining a lively and positive attitude.
- Knowledge of retail math for upselling products effectively is a plus.
