As a direct care worker, you will provide support in a residential setting to people who have an intellectual disability and assist them with maintaining and developing relationships within their community and at home. Duties also include facilitating activities, carrying out behavioral treatment plans, and assisting with ADLs, personal care, meal prep, passing meds, and transportation. Experience working with people who have an intellectual disability is preferred.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid, unrestricted Michigan driver’s license. Must be available to complete paid training including group home curriculum and CPR and First Aid. Must have the physical ability to carry out the typical job duties. Must have reliable transportation.
