Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Stocker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining the store's inventory. You will play a crucial part in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers by managing the cash register and restocking shelves as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register, processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and resolving any issues.
- Stock shelves with merchandise, ensuring products are organized and displayed attractively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and sales floor.
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving shipments and conducting stock counts.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the store.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of retail math concepts to assist in inventory management.
- Proficient in phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries via phone.
- Capable of supervising staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
