Accounting Manager- This is for our sister company Basin Upfitting
Location: Salt Lake City, UT. This is an on-site position.
Compensation: $90 - $100,000 annualized salary
Basin Upfitting is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team in Salt Lake City. The Accounting Manager will lead the financial reporting and accounting activities for the company. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a problem solver’s mentality.
Responsibilities:
- Provide counsel and leadership to the accounting team ensuring all tasks are completed timely and accurately.
- Responsible for reviewing accounts reconciliations prepared by the accounting staff to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Identifies opportunities to improve company accounting practices, controls, efficiencies and reporting.
- Drive process improvement internally through cross-departmental collaboration
- Interface with external financial parties including investors, auditors, tax authorities, and regulators
- Ensure that monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements are prepared and reviewed timely.
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail and deep understanding of financial statements, both preparation and review, and ability to identify errors or inconsistencies
- Strong understanding of internal controls, financial reporting requirements for lenders and regulators
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, public accounting preferred
- Ability to delegate responsibilities, interpret high level requests from management, and participate in growing the accounting department’s ability and skill set
