Inventory Management Trainer

Position Summary
ProCat Distribution Technologies is seeking an Inventory Management Trainer to help customers successfully implement and adopt our Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions. This customer-facing role is responsible for preparing warehouse teams for implementation, delivering comprehensive training programs, and ensuring customers have the knowledge and confidence to maximize the value of ProCat's software.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with warehouse operations experience, strong training skills, and a passion for helping customers improve their inventory management processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer training sessions before, during, and after WMS implementations.
- Prepare customers for successful software adoption by reviewing warehouse processes and operational workflows.
- Develop and deliver "Train-the-Trainer" programs that enable customer leadership teams to continue employee training independently.
- Become a subject matter expert on the full ProCat software suite, including WMS and warehouse mobility solutions.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Customer Support throughout implementation projects.
- Assist customers in understanding best practices for inventory management, receiving, picking, cycle counting, and warehouse operations.
- Create and maintain training documentation, presentations, and instructional materials.
- Provide both onsite and remote training sessions.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer adoption and operational efficiency.
- Travel to customer locations throughout the United States (approximately 25–50%).
Qualifications
- Experience in food service, warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, or supply chain.
- Previous experience delivering software or operational training preferred.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to teach users of varying technical abilities.
- Ability to learn new software quickly and become a trusted product expert.
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups and facilitating hands-on training.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
Preferred Experience
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Barcode scanning and mobile warehouse technologies
- Inventory control and cycle counting
- ERP and warehouse software implementations
- Foodservice or wholesale distribution experience is a plus

- Customers are well-prepared before go-live.
- Customer trainers are equipped to train their own warehouse teams.
- Implementations are completed with high user adoption and minimal disruption.
- Customers gain confidence in using the full ProCat solution to improve warehouse accuracy and productivity.

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
